Forklifts have a lift mechanism with two “forks” either on the front or the back which lift heavy items and loads vertically from the floor or from a truck down to the floor to make it easier to move, stack and store heavy loads.

A telehandler is similar in appearance and function to a forklift only with a telescopic book that extends the forks forward or backwards. They are also much more versatile than forklifts because they have different lifting attachments for different job types. For example, telehandlers can be used to grab blocks using a block grabber attachment and also carry and hold people using a man bucket attachment.
