In short, yes, it is. There are several benefits to installing double glazing in your home, and it does not have to be a huge investment. Double glazing is commonplace and therefore reasonably priced. When I was renovating my home, I was unsure about paying the extra to install double glazing in Kent as the weather here is quite moderate and I wasn't too concerned about heat loss.

I spoke to a double glazing company and they explained that as well as reducing heating bills, double glazing can also help to prevent really damaging problems like mould. This can be a big problem in older properties and can be hard to fix once it's started. In addition to this, double glazing can also make your home quieter if you live on a busy road. It also reduces heat loss and therefore you will save money in the long run as you'll need to use less central heating to keep your home warm. This can save you a lot of money on gas bills over the years.

It really depends on your personal needs but for me, it was a small, worthwhile investment.
